— Eternal Life —

One of the major roadblocks of living in the eternal purpose of God, is a conscience ridden with guilt and condemnation. So many Christians remain subdued in unfruitfulness and bondage, simply because they believe they’ve blown it and are now unworthy of living in Fulness.

Dead works are simply ‘anything that are unproductive, vain or unfruitful to you and God.’ When Jesus died on the Cross and rose to victory, He set us free from a carnal conscience. He became the fulfilment of every requirement of God in our place.

As Sons of God, it’s not about what you do – it’s not about whether you do it or not. It’s not about you anymore. It’s about Jesus.

When God gave dominion and rule to Adam. It was about what he did and whether he did it or not – that was the first Adam – he blew it. Everyone born from him became defaulters regardless of what they did or didn’t do.

Then God sent Jesus, it was still about what He did and whether He did it or not – He was PERFECT!! Everyone who was born from him became perfect regardless of what they did, and whether they did it or not.

Therefore, as through one man’s offence judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. – Romans 5:18,19

Hallelujah!! There can’t be condemnation when there is nothing expected of you. Every expectation of God was fulfilled by Jesus. Today, you do what you want to do, IF you want to do it and WHEN you want to do it. Whether you do it or not, there is no guilt and condemnation, because Jesus fulfilled the requirements of performance by His death on the cross and His rising to glory. (Colossians 2:13-15)

The ‘performance mode’ of the new life we have, is about receiving rewards and recognition in Eternity – it’s about where we want to stand in the Kingdom.

The New Man is complete in every way. Nothing we do can make us any more complete than we are now – and no act of sin can take away from our eternal inheritance that has already been given to us. Receiving the manifested inheritance however, is by faith. Dead works (or sins of the flesh in many ways) are not of faith – they’re carnal. So a Christian living by the flesh cannot manifest their spiritual inheritance because it is by faith that it manifest. Faith is Spiritual.

If you want to do something for God, by all means, go ahead and do so by the Spirit who is your equipment from God. It doesn’t matter to God if you don’t. However, it would benefit you and all around you – so it’s up to you.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. – Galatians 5:1
