Predestination is one of the most misunderstood concepts in theology. Often perceived as a deterministic doctrine, it’s crucial to see it not as a limitation of free will but as an expression of God’s omniscient wisdom and unconditional love. Before the foundation of the world, God intimately knew you and had a glorious purpose for your life. This purpose is like a divine signature etched on your soul, guiding you toward a destiny that transcends time and circumstance. Understanding predestination doesn’t mean abandoning personal responsibility or resigning yourself to fate. Instead, it offers a framework through which to view your life as purpose-driven, empowered by God’s eternal perspective. Every decision, every path, and even every challenge you encounter are opportunities to align yourself with this divine purpose, allowing you to live from a place of peace, fulfilment, and spiritual abundance.
Through Him we are more than conquerors! Romans 8:37. In Jesus, we are empowered to tread and overcome in every realm and dimension of creation – spiritual and physical. In Him, we are sons. We have the authority to restore creation back to its original estate. This is what sons are about. Creation is waiting for sons to realise that mandate and walk in it.
Set yourself on eternal things, not on worldly stuff. Cuz you’re dead to this world, and you’re hidden with Christ in God. – Colossians 3:2,3. As you’re living in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit also. – Galatians 5:25. The Father, in his infinite love and manifest wisdom, put us in Jesus in order to save us. Jesus is our salvation. He’s not some external entity working in conjunction with humanity, independent of creation. Creation was made for and through Jesus – in Him and by Him. He is everything. The Father put everything in His Son. Creation is held together by Him. Colossians 1:16,17.
Anyone who’s in Jesus is one spirit with Him. – 1Corinthians 6:17. He is in oneness with us. Oneness with Jesus, by the Spirit is: Eternal Life. Reconciliation to the Father. Access to and relationship with the Father. Relationship and intimacy with Jesus. Revelation of the person of God. The mind of Christ. Revelation of the mysteries of Heaven. Access to and habitation of the Spirit realm. Dominion over the earth.
Living in the Spirit is about consciously living by the leading of the Spirit – it’s about living in the knowledge that you’re in Him and He’s in you. It’s about resting in Him. It’s about letting Him be the source of information, direction, relationship, giftings, etc. Being born again is when the Spirit becomes one with you through the Word you received. Unless you are born of Water and Spirit, you cannot enter the kingdom of God. The Spirit is Life – abundance of Life! He is Eternal Life. We received eternal life when we believed Jesus.
When you consciously inhabit the Spirit of God, you learn to rest in the reality that He will always place you where you need to be, when you need to be there. Because you are one with the Spirit of Jesus, and have the mind of Christ, you live in union with His will. Living in the Spirit is about intimacy with the Father and Jesus. Your time with Him enriches your relationship and you begin to see Him as He is. Revelation begins to unfold.
