Know your inheritance as Sons of God, be established in your identity and manifest Heaven on Earth!
What’s it like when you ‘spend time with God?’ Do you read the bible or play some music? Or both? Maybe read up on some good books? Listen to messages? Praise and Worship?
Or do you ‘spend time with God’? When you’re spending time with your fiancé or spouse, would you read a book or biography of him/her? You’d probably do that when they’re not around (if at all) or just think about them.
There’s a time for reading and listening to messages and the Bible… and it’s very beneficial. This is the time we catch up on knowing about God and what He’s about. We learn from the experiences of people, and their lives.
Would you want to know your spouse or fiancé by the stories you hear about him/her from others? Or would you rather know them intimately by spending time with them personally?
God is a person! He wants to have a living, interactive relationship with you. He wants to have a conversation with you, rather than hear a monologue. You would benefit more from hearing Him, rather than Him hearing you. His words impart life and will transform the course of your life – but that’s not the reason why you should want to relate to Him.
Intimacy! An intimate relationship with God is worth more than life itself… nothing else comes close.
When you spend time with God, relate to the person of who He is… and not the concept of God, which we derive from our intellect.
He’s alive and wonderful to interact with.
Let that living relationship be your doctrine to live by!
